Remember this poll? You should. Basically I've been going through my cupcake cookbook, "Cupcakes" by Shelly Kaldunski and you've been helping me by voting on which ones I will make next.
The Red Velvet cupcakes won and I made them. I loved them. Not going to lie Shelly's recipe was basically better than a lot of NYC cupcakeries' red velvets...and I didn't think that was possible. It was paired with cream cheese frosting with buttered pecans folded into the silky goodness.
